This summer season has been successful - we have already ringed 4710 birds (58 species) during 20 days (this total includes 237 birds from occasional spring ringing). Most ringed species is barn swallow (Hirundo rustica; 1149), followed by sedge warbler (Acrocephalus schoenobaenus; 1003), willow warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus; 564), marsh warbler (Acrocephalus palustris; 273), reed warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus; 239), common whitethroat (Sylvia communis; 236) and sand martin (Riparia riparia; surprisingly 204 ringed; last time we had so many of them in 90s). We also ringed a new species for our station - dunlin. It is the only wader this year because of very low water level - the excellent waders' pool we had last year has disappeared.
